As February approaches and we remember Valentines Day on the 14th,lets take some time to celebrate our marriages/relationships!

I can still remember some of the words we spoke at our wedding   -”All that I am I give to you, all that I have I share with you…”. Spending time together was no trouble at all, we could talk into the early hours of the morning, and we were still excited about seeing one another the next day!! Years later the business of life has taken over and its not so easy!! But there can grow a love that is even deeper and more satisfying than that first flurry and headiness of romance!

One thing I have learnt is to study my husband!! (Yes, your days of studying are not over!!).Find out what your partner’s love language is! (see Gary Chapman’s book The Five Love Languages) Whether it is gifts, touch, encouraging words, time spent together or acts of service- it may be more than one!! If you are not sure then try some out and see the reaction. HOWEVER This is The Big Tip DON’T JUST TRY IT ONCE OR TWICE – go really OTT!!! (Over the Top!!) For example if your husband’s love language is touch (like mine!) then make sure you stroke his hair, hold his hand, sit on his lap, give him a hug and kiss before he goes out, as well as having a fun time in bed at night! Or if your wife adores gifts, then try giving her a different gift every day for a week. It does not have to be expensive, just some fun thing you know she will like! I tell you after 3 or 4 days your partner will be asking you what’s happened!! They will really notice the difference!! I know because I tried it!
